What is Lavender rayon?

Posted by Angel Kho on

You have heard of bamboo rayon, but how about lavender rayon? When we were first introduced this special blend by a fabric mill with headquarter in Taiwan and offices in Vancouver and Mexico, we were intrigued.

Lavender RayonWhat is Lavender Rayon?

Most people are familiar with bamboo rayon, but very few have heard of Lavender rayon. Our signature LavenderSOFT jersey knit fabric is made with a similar process as the bamboo rayon, except that the source material is Lavender grown in the Mediterranean.

Why is it eco-friendly?

Lavender doesn't need a lot of water to grow and our fabric is milled, woven, and dyed at a Blue Sign certified facility, meaning that harmful substances are eliminated from the start of the manufacturing cycle. Both rainwater and recycled water are harvested to preserve the world's clean drinking supply. Renewable wind energy is used to power machines and conserve energy levels throughout production, and responsible water treatment programs are valued that prevent destruction to aquatic life. Some of the well-known brands like Patagonia and Everlane are all Blue Sign certified.

What does it feel like?

Lavender rayon can have many different textures, but the basic fabric is soft to the touch. It is hypoallergenic and doesn’t cling. That softness, the friendliness for the skin, and durability are the features that our Lavender rayon cotton fabric brings.

What are the wear benefits?

Lavender rayon is extremely antibacterial and it's adaptogenic to the skin's needs. Lavender rayon also protects against E.Coli., Candida Albicans, and Staphylococcus aureus. It's anti-odor and it keeps linen and fabric fresh.

Why did we choose Lavender?

We were first attracted by the idea of using lavender as a fabric. Who doesn't like lavender? After learning more about the benefits of the fabric, and how eco-friendly it is and how much care is going into making the fabric, we were sold. We hope that you will like this as much as we do.
