The material. Tanboocel® Bamboo Viscose, blended with cotton and woven into an open-weave muslin — soft against a newborn’s cheek, and it softens further with more washes and use. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Tanboocel® is also the cleaner way to make bamboo viscose: a closed-loop process recovers most of the water and solvent instead of sending it downstream.

Why the terry back. Single-layer muslin soaks through to your shoulder, which defeats the point. The terry cloth back absorbs without bleeding through.

Care. Machine wash cold or warm, tumble dry low or hang. The print holds through repeated washing.

After the spit-up stops. Around month six the cloth gets reassigned — stroller wipe, car-seat cover, nursing cover, emergency bib. Most parents land on the same reuses in roughly that order, which is why the 2-pack outlives the months it was bought for.
