Wild Teether - Elephant

The Elephant Silicone Baby Teether is a one-handed soother that fits inside a clenched fist, easy for a four-month-old to grab and bring to their gums. Made from one piece of food-grade silicone with textured ridges molded into the surface, it gives sore gums something to press against while the easy-grip shape stays put even when held upside down.

WHAT IT DOES
Babies start teething anywhere from three months on, and most parents underestimate how much chewing happens before the first tooth ever shows. This teether is built for that window — the textured ridges along the body provide counter-pressure that helps relieve gum discomfort, while the looped handle is small enough for a developing pincer grip. The Elephant shape was designed with a wide front and a thinner edge, so a baby can rotate it and find the spot that feels best without dropping it.

MATERIAL AND SAFETY
The teether is molded from a single piece of 100% food-grade silicone (FDA standards). One material, no joins or seams where bacteria can collect. Free of BPA, PVC, phthalates, lead, and cadmium. Exceeds CPSC and CPSIA safety requirements for the US market. Tested independently before every production run. The silicone is the same grade used in baby bottle nipples — soft enough for new gums, firm enough to provide the pressure that actually helps.

HOW TO USE IT
Hand it directly to baby. Wash before first use. Some parents chill the teether briefly in the fridge (not freezer) before handing it over — cool silicone feels especially good on sore gums. Wipe with a damp cloth after each session, or wash with warm soapy water and air dry. Dishwasher top rack is fine.

Elephant joins the Wild Teether series — each animal is a slightly different shape so siblings can tell theirs apart. The form is rounded on every side so there are no edges that catch on lips or fingers.

CARE
Wash with warm soapy water before first use and after each session. Top-rack dishwasher safe. Air dry. Inspect monthly for any damage and replace if you see cracks or tears (silicone normally lasts through the entire teething period without issue).

DESIGNED IN CANADA
Loulou Lollipop launched in Vancouver in 2014 with one swaddle and one teether. Every product in the catalog since then has been tested on the founders' own children before going to production. The Wild Teether series came out of frustration with the existing market: teethers were either too small (choking risk), too detailed (textures too sharp), or too heavy (a four-month-old can't lift them). The Wild Teether shape was tuned over six prototypes before it shipped, with the textured surface optimized for the specific bite force a teething baby actually applies. The Elephant variant uses the same molding as the rest of the Wild Teether family — only the color differs — so siblings or twins can each have their own without confusion.
