Hooded Towel Set - Hedgehog Forest

The Hooded Towel Set in Hedgehog Forest wraps a wet baby in warmth in one swooping motion — Tanboocel viscose-from-bamboo and cotton muslin outer layer with ultra-absorbent terry cloth backing, plus a snug hood that actually fits. Bigger than your average hooded towel, soft from the first wash, and printed in our Hedgehog Forest colorway across the whole exterior.

WHAT IT DOES
A baby's body temperature drops fast when they come out of the bath, particularly in the head-and-neck zone where heat loss is highest. The hood matters. Most hooded baby towels are sized for newborns and stop working at six months; the Hedgehog Forest Hooded Towel is sized to last from newborn through age 4 — bigger surface area, deeper hood, room to wrap a wriggling toddler.

The two-layer construction matters too. The Tanboocel viscose-bamboo and cotton muslin outer is soft against baby skin and lightweight enough to feel like a swaddle. The terry cloth backing is what does the actual drying work — water-absorbent without the heavy weight of traditional terry towels.

Outer: 70% viscose from bamboo (Tanboocel) + 30% cotton muslin. Inner: 100% cotton terry. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified — tested for harmful chemicals throughout the manufacturing process. No formaldehyde, no azo dyes, no pesticide residue. Safe for newborn skin.

HOW TO USE IT
Hold the towel open with both hands. Lift baby out of the bath into the open towel. Pull the hood up first to capture head heat. Wrap the corners around the body. Most parents keep the towel hanging on a hook near the tub and grab it one-handed during the lift-out moment.

CARE
Machine wash warm with like colors. Tumble dry low or hang dry — bamboo fabric softens with each wash and stays soft for years. Avoid bleach (it breaks down the bamboo fibers). The muslin print may fade slightly over 50+ washes; it stays bright for the bulk of the baby's bath-towel lifespan.

WHO IT'S FOR
Newborn through age 4. The towel is sized big enough to wrap a 3-year-old after a pool day — most parents tell us they kept using it well past the baby-towel stage.

THE PRINT
Hedgehog Forest is one of our original print designs, illustrated in-house by the Loulou Lollipop design team. The print covers the entire outer surface — front, back, hood — so the towel photographs well wherever it ends up (on the changing table, on a hook, on a beach towel pile).

WHY OEKO-TEX MATTERS
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is the most stringent textile testing certification in the US baby-product market. It tests at every stage of manufacturing for harmful chemicals, formaldehyde, azo dyes, and pesticide residue. A towel that touches a newborn's skin every day for two years should clear this bar.
