One piece from neck to toes, hands covered, warmth kept even: the Sleepsuit does the whole night in one zip, for the stretch between the swaddle and full toddlerhood. Built for roughly 6 to 18 months, the sleeveless cut frees the arms to move while the closed legs keep warmth exactly where it belongs, a sleeping bag with legs, in effect.

Most families make the switch from a closed-leg sleep bag to a sleepsuit somewhere around 12 to 15 months, once a baby is walking confidently in the crib and a closed-leg bag starts to become a trip hazard rather than a comfort. The sleepsuit gives the same warmth rating as the sleep bag it replaces, just with the mobility a walking, standing toddler actually needs at that stage; some families switch earlier, others stay in a sleep bag longer, depending on the baby.

The Details

Fabric. TENCEL™ Lyocell with spandex for stretch, made through a closed-loop process that recycles 99.5% of solvents, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Softer than cotton and holds its shape through heavy washing.

Fit. Sleeveless with closed legs — arms move freely while warmth stays sealed in, built for the 6–18 month stretch after the swaddle.

Construction. A two-way zipper opens from the bottom for fast, no-wake changes. Tagless neckline, seams reinforced at stress points.

Care. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Don't bleach, and don't iron the printed areas.

What's the difference between a sleepsuit and a sleep sack?

A sleep sack has closed legs (or an opening at the bottom) and keeps the legs together for sleep. A sleepsuit has separated legs — the baby can stand, crawl, and walk in it. The sleepsuit is the wearable blanket for the 6–18M phase when the baby is mobile but still needs the warmth of a sleep bag.
When should I switch from sleep sack to sleepsuit?

Once the baby is walking confidently in the crib (around 12–15 months for most), the closed-leg sleep bag becomes a trip hazard. The sleepsuit gives the same TOG warmth with separated legs so they can stand safely. Some families switch earlier if the baby protests the sleep bag.
Can a baby wear a sleepsuit year-round?

At 1.0 TOG, yes — in a 70–75°F nursery, which is the most common US bedroom temperature. For warmer summer nights, switch to lighter pajamas. For cold winter nurseries below 68°F, add a long-sleeve bodysuit underneath.
