Deep-winter nights meet their match: the TENCEL™ Sleep Bag, rated 2.5 TOG, pairs a waffle-knit TENCEL™ Lyocell shell with a fuller layer of DuPont™ Sorona® insulation, built specifically for the rooms that never quite warm up. Rated for a cold 61–68°F nursery, this is the winter weight of our sleep bag line.

The textured weave traps air more effectively than a flat knit, which is what allows this bag to stay genuinely warm in a cold room while remaining just as easy to move in as the lighter-weight bags in the line.

The Details

Construction: Sleeveless on purpose, so your baby sheds heat instead of trapping it. A two-way zipper runs the length of the bag, so a midnight diaper change takes seconds and wakes nobody. The neck and arm openings are bound in soft fabric, not scratchy serged edges, and cut snug — the part that matters most for safe sleep.

Sizing: Choose by height and weight, not age.

0-6 M: 23–26 in tall, 10–16 lb
6-18 M: 26–34 in tall, 16–26 lb
18-36 M: 34–40 in tall, 26–40 lb

Good to know: The 0-6 M usually carries a baby through to the 4-month sleep regression. The 6-18 M is usually the size your baby wears the longest.

Why 2.5 TOG: A fuller layer of DuPont™ Sorona® insulation keeps a cold room comfortable without adding bulk. Same breathable TENCEL™ Lyocell and the same safe-sleep cut as our 1.0 TOG bag, just built for a colder room.

Materials & Care

Gentle on sensitive skin and the planet, TENCEL™ Lyocell contains biodegradable fibers made from responsibly sourced eucalyptus tree pulp. It's made using a closed-loop production process where 99.5% of the solvents are reused during manufacturing, helping to minimize waste.

94% TENCEL™ Lyocell, 6% spandex, Dupont Sorona® filling

This style was updated with a new fabric blend of 94% TENCEL™ Lyocell, 6% spandex.

Depending on color and size selected you may receive our classic blend of 68% TENCEL™ Lyocell, 26% organic cotton, 6% spandex.

How it should fit

Choose by height and weight, not the age on the label.
The neck and armholes should sit snugly. A neck opening that's too wide can ride up over your baby's face during the night.
Between sizes? Check the neck and armholes. If the bigger size is loose there, stay in the smaller one.

How to measure

Height. Lay your child flat and measure from the top of the head to the heel.
Weight. Use their most recent weight from a check-up or home scale.
